Here are some photos I took before/during/after my train ride home for thanksgiving. . .

Here is my final for our text and illustrator project.  Like I said in an earlier post,  I used Coin Operated Boy by the Dresen Dolls. Also, in my final print, the center of each X over the guys' faces had a rhine stone. If i had light pink rhine stones, I would've done the entire X, oh well, maybe I'll print another out and get some.

so my friends, nicknamed stinkey and slutmoofin were my models for my time sequence project, and here are some extras I took. 

Our Satisfaction

So a few of my friends are in a band called Our Satisfaction. They asked me to take some pictures for them to add to their myspace.  I took these at night, and we had two flood lights that we put on either side of their faces.  I then took the pics into photoshop, made them black and white and cropped or boosted the exposure if it was needed.

For our current digital media project, I chose to do a poster for Coin Operated Boy by The Dresden Dolls.  My roommate was my model.  I took a number of shots, and here are some that weren't exactly fitting for my poster, but were still nice.  I was taking them at dusk- so they were dark- but since I shot in raw, I just bumped up the exposure.

Here are some pictures I took when my friends and I went pumpkin picking. My roommate's pictures came out the best, so I put a few together of her to put here. Fall is my absolutely favorite time of the year, so I love how these pictures really capture the season. 

Scanning

So I was experimenting with the scanner... I put down the plants, then a purple shirt over them and left the scanner open. As the scanner was, well, scanning, I turned the room light on and off, so different amounts of light were being taken in, creating the stripes. I'm not even sure how it became tilted, I just planned on cropping it. This picture has not been touched by anything in Photoshop, all the effects were from the scanner.

so this picture is of my friends and lovely models, Anastasia and Rhys.  I really like the colors and how I got the picture just as they started to laugh, so there was real emotion compared to posing for a picture.

motion

So i was playing around with shutter speed and motion and whatnot.  Here, the shutter was set for five seconds, and had the three people in it walk forward in that time.  I liked putting them in front of a stop sign and having them move.

another picture i took in the graveyard. The white balance is different then the previous ones, so the colors are better. The weather was pretty much perfect....

pyramids

So this is my figure skating partner, Kyle.  In the beginning of september we went to Mexico City for a competition, and in our down time, the competitors got to go see the ruins and pyramids. Everyone got to climb them. They were fricken high and steep.  At one point, as we're struggling our way up, one of the men turns around and says "its a good thing we're not professional athletes or this would be really embarrassing." So yeah, this is when we made it to the top.

Fishes

So I'll tell you the story behind the fishes dangling from my rearview mirror.  When I was seven, I had a babysitter named Blaze and we would walk to the convenient store to get ice cream on the hot summer days.  One day, on our journey, she stopped and picked up these rearview mirror, fragrant fish.  I told her that when I got a car, these would be in it.  Well, ten years later, as I was searching for the right car for me, the fish came along and sat in each car I test drove.  Now they permanently reside in my car and still smell the same...
